Erie County, NY – Deputies in Erie County seized rifles, shotguns, ammunition, and drugs during a Sunday search in the Town of Holland, leading to multiple charges against a convicted felon and his wife. Officials say the discoveries pose serious safety concerns for the home’s children.

According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant around 4:30 p.m. on December 1 at a residence on S. Protection Road. Inside, investigators say they found Jeremy Wawrzynski, 38, allegedly in possession of two rifles and two shotguns, which were located unsecured in a closet alongside ammunition. Wawrzynski is a previously convicted felon and prohibited from possessing any firearms.

Deputies also reported locating marijuana, trace amounts of meth, and drug paraphernalia during the search. Two children lived in the home at the time, authorities said.

Wawrzynski was charged with:
• Criminal Purchase or Disposal of a Weapon
• 1st degree Failure to Safely Store Rifles, Shotguns and Firearms
• Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts)
• 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (4 counts)

His wife, Bryanna Wawrzynski, 27, was also charged with:
• 1st degree Failure to Safely Store Rifles, Shotguns and Firearms
• Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts)

Sheriff John C. Garcia said the unsecured firearms “presented a danger to anyone in their home,” emphasizing the role of the Narcotics and Intelligence Unit and federal partners in the investigation.
