Addison, IL – A Roselle man faces serious charges after a road rage incident escalated to violence in Addison on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing near Lake Street and Bruce Avenue at 9:36 a.m. Investigators determined the altercation began on Lake Street in Elmhurst before escalating in Addison, where a traffic crash and a stabbing occurred.

According to Addison Police, officers worked closely with the Elmhurst Police Department throughout the investigation. Detectives and evidence technicians conducted interviews with multiple witnesses. Following their findings, they arrested Irving Garcia-Zepeda, 29, of Roselle.

Garcia-Zepeda faces two allegations: aggravated battery causing bodily harm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Police did not release further details on the victim’s condition.
