Elmhurst, IL – Public safety training exercises were conducted at Bryan Middle School this morning, with additional sessions planned for Thursday and next Friday.
According to the Elmhurst Police Department, today’s training took place between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. These exercises are part of a series of drills organized in collaboration with District 205 and local schools to enhance the readiness of public safety departments in times of crisis. The training aims to ensure effective and safe responses during emergencies by simulating real-life scenarios within the school premises.
Future training sessions are scheduled for June 20, also between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., and June 28 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Residents and motorists in the area are being notified to expect increased presence of emergency vehicles around Bryan Middle School during these times. Authorities urge everyone to respect posted signs indicating that training is in progress and to avoid entering the school grounds to ensure the drills proceed without interruptions.
