Elmhurst, Ill. — The Elmhurst Park District announced it is in the process of rebranding to better serve the community. This process includes a new incoming logo and visual identity, the district shared.

The current logo for the park district was implemented in 1999. However, Elmhurst Park District said it “no longer fully captures the energy and culture of Elmhurst today” in a press release. The park district noted the importance of recognizing the past while evolving for current residents.

The project began earlier this year, when Elmhurst issued a formal request for proposals (RFP). Nearly 60 firms requested the RFP and 30 firms submitted proposals. The park district made the decision to choose Destination by Design as the firm to guide the rebranding process.

Destination by Design will use a multi-phase process with input from stakeholders, including residents. The park district will share more information about how the community can participate in this process as the project develops. Residents interested can stay tuned over the coming months for more information from the park district.
