Elmhurst, Illinois: Early Morning Burglaries Target Work Vehicles

Elmhurst, Illinois – Burglars targeted a work truck and a van early Thursday on North Highland Avenue. Elmhurst Police responded at approximately 5:45 a.m., and the suspects fled in a white Alpha Romeo SUV with temporary license plates.

According to police, officers pursued the SUV, last seen heading northbound on Harlem Avenue in Oak Park. Three male suspects, dressed in black clothes and masks, broke into the van, activated the garage door opener, and stole power tools. A similar burglary occurred on North Indiana Avenue.

Police believe the suspects are linked to multiple recent burglaries in the area and remain at large.
