El Paso Weather Alert: Storms Possible Tuesday Night, Calm by Midweek

EL PASO, Texas – A warm and mostly calm start to the week will give way to a slight chance of thunderstorms by Tuesday night as temperatures in El Paso hover near 90°F under clear desert skies.

According to the National Weather Service in El Paso, Monday will stay sunny with highs near 90°F and calm winds early, increasing slightly out of the southeast. By Tuesday, highs around 87°F will precede a 20% chance of isolated storms after sunset, with gusts up to 25 mph possible.

Winds will continue through midweek as drier air returns, keeping Wednesday partly sunny with highs in the low 80s. Overnight lows will stay mild in the upper 60s across much of El Paso County. No major flooding or wind hazards are expected at this time.

Residents are encouraged to secure loose outdoor items ahead of Tuesday night’s brief storm window and stay alert for lightning if outdoors.

Conditions stabilize again by Thursday, leading into a warm, sunny stretch through the weekend.
