El Paso, Texas – Storm chances fade overnight in El Paso, setting the stage for a hot and sunny stretch beginning Sunday. Afternoon highs will climb into the mid-90s through midweek, leaving the Borderland with dry skies and above-normal heat.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will be sunny with highs near 89, followed by 93 Monday and 94 Tuesday. By Wednesday, highs could reach 96, with little to no chance of rainfall. Nighttime lows will hover in the low 70s, offering limited relief from the daytime heat.

For commuters along I-10 and U.S. 54, dry conditions will mean clear travel through the workweek. Outdoor workers and students, however, should prepare for heat stress during peak afternoon hours. Hydration and sun protection remain critical as temperatures rise.

NOAA’s extended outlook places far West Texas in a “near normal” precipitation zone, but El Paso is not expected to see meaningful rain this week. The extended dry stretch may stress landscaping and increase wildfire concerns across the Franklin Mountains and desert areas.

The National Weather Service expects the sunny, hot pattern to remain in place through at least next weekend, keeping El Paso locked into summerlike conditions.
