Spokane, Wash. – Eastern Washington is heading into a stretch of warm, sunny days, but overnight frost could catch residents off guard late Sunday into Monday. Daytime highs will climb well into the 60s and 70s, but clear skies at night will allow temperatures to dip near freezing in rural valleys.
According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, areas of frost are expected to develop after midnight Sunday, especially outside the urban core. Lows could bottom out in the mid-30s, with the coldest pockets north and east of the city. Northeast winds up to 20 mph Sunday evening may add to the chill before easing overnight.
Daytime conditions will remain seasonably warm and dry. Spokane will see a high near 87 Saturday, followed by a cooler but pleasant 83 on Sunday. Temperatures rebound again Monday and Tuesday, topping out in the mid- to upper 70s under clear skies.
