Spokane, WA – Washington residents should prepare for a mixed bag of weather this weekend. Eastern Washington will face a challenging mix of blowing dust and cooler temperatures from Friday into Sunday.

Saturday will start off with lingering effects from a gust front bringing dusty conditions across the Columbia Basin. This dust could significantly impact visibility on major routes like I-90, US-395, and US-2. Travelers are urged to exercise caution, particularly in the afternoon and early evening.

In the Cascades, temperatures are expected to drop, especially at higher elevations. Forecasts predict lows in the 30s above 6,000 feet, with daytime highs struggling to reach the 50s. Light to moderate rain is also likely, adding to the cool, wet conditions.

Sunday will bring a slight improvement, with Spokane seeing temperatures around 74°F. The Cascades will remain cool, though rain chances diminish. The weather will warm slightly heading into Monday, with highs around 81°F in Spokane, offering a brief respite from the chillier weekend.
