Spokane, WA – Drivers across Spokane could encounter slick spots early this morning as rain and snow mix with temperatures hovering near the freezing mark around 32°F.

According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, a rain–snow mix remains possible overnight with a 40% chance of precipitation and snow levels near 2,300 feet. While accumulation is expected to stay minimal, wet pavement and cold air could briefly create slick bridges and overpasses during the early morning hours.

Conditions remain unsettled Saturday with another 40% chance of rain and snow before 8 a.m., followed by a slight chance of snow showers during the afternoon. Temperatures will climb only to around 43°F, with west winds reaching 10 to 13 mph and gusts up to 23 mph across the Spokane metro and surrounding communities including Spokane Valley, Airway Heights, and Cheney.

Another system arrives Sunday night bringing a 60% chance of rain that could briefly mix with snow, especially across higher elevations near the Idaho border and foothills of the Selkirk Mountains.

Temperatures begin a steady rebound early next week with highs reaching 51°F Monday and near 61°F Tuesday, bringing milder spring conditions across the Inland Northwest.

Officials advise drivers to remain cautious during early morning hours when temperatures are near freezing, particularly on Interstate 90 and U.S. Highway 2 where bridges tend to cool fastest.
