Eastern Utah – Eastern Utah is bracing for severe thunderstorms today, with the National Weather Service (NWS) issuing a moderate weather risk warning. According to the NWS, a grazing trough will enhance the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms, primarily affecting the region in the afternoon and early evening.

Strong, gusty winds will be the primary threat, potentially causing significant damage. Hail and heavy rainfall are also expected, increasing the risk of flash flooding in vulnerable areas. Residents are advised to secure outdoor items, such as trampolines and furniture, to prevent them from becoming hazardous projectiles.

The rest of the week’s forecast shows clear skies, with temperatures gradually rising. Friday will be sunny with a high of 86°F, and Saturday will reach 98°F. By Sunday, temperatures are expected to peak at 100°F before cooling slightly next week. Authorities recommend staying hydrated and avoiding outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
