Davis, WV – The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has continued a Wind Advisory until 5 p.m. EDT Friday for eastern Tucker County, where gusts up to 55 mph are expected through the afternoon.
According to the NWS, sustained west winds between 20 and 30 mph will continue to impact elevated areas including Davis, Canaan Valley, and Thomas, with the strongest gusts likely along exposed ridges.
Residents and visitors are urged to secure outdoor items such as decorations and lightweight furniture, as strong gusts could knock down tree limbs and lead to isolated power outages. Drivers of high-profile vehicles should exercise extra caution on mountain roads and open areas.
