Mount Holly, N.J. – Temperatures across the Mid-Atlantic will feel closer to normal today, but the reprieve comes with a tradeoff: clouds and scattered showers are back on the radar for Friday and into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, skies will stay mostly cloudy today with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and parts of northeastern Maryland. A 20–40% chance of afternoon and evening showers or thunderstorms could impact outdoor plans in areas like Philadelphia, Trenton, Wilmington, and Allentown.

Conditions are expected to remain unsettled through the weekend as easterly winds bring in moist, cooler air. While it won’t be a total washout, periods of showers and elevated humidity are likely, especially on Saturday and Sunday. Roads may become slick in spots, so drivers are encouraged to use caution during bursts of rainfall.

Residents should stay weather-aware and prepare for damp conditions by keeping rain gear handy and limiting outdoor activities during peak shower times. Power outages are not expected, but pooling water in low-lying areas is possible.

Additional advisories may be issued as the weekend progresses.
