Pendleton, OR – Overnight winds continue to howl across parts of northeast Oregon, with a Wind Advisory remaining in effect through 6 a.m. PDT Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, according to the National Weather Service in Pendleton.
The advisory includes the Grande Ronde Valley, covering La Grande, Union, Elgin, and Cove, as well as the foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains, including Pendleton, Pilot Rock, and Athena.
Forecasters report south to southeast winds of 25–35 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph in canyon areas such as Ladd and Pyles Canyons. These conditions could knock down tree limbs, cause scattered power outages, and make travel difficult for high-profile vehicles.
Motorists are urged to use extra caution and secure outdoor objects before winds peak overnight. Conditions are expected to ease by sunrise Wednesday.
