Pendleton, OR – Sunny skies and unseasonably warm temperatures are settling over Eastern Oregon this week, bringing a string of dry, pleasant days for Pendleton residents.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will peak near 70°F today and climb to 72°F by Tuesday before tapering slightly to 68°F Wednesday. The forecast calls for mostly sunny to clear conditions through Friday, with nighttime lows dropping into the low 40s and even upper 30s later in the week. Winds will remain light and variable, shifting from the north and northwest at speeds of 5 to 9 mph throughout the afternoons.
This stretch of stable weather marks a warm-up from early April’s cooler trend and offers a favorable window for outdoor activities and travel in Umatilla County. While skies remain clear, residents should still plan for cooler nights and fluctuating temperatures in early morning hours.
The Oregon Department of Transportation reports no current weather-related travel restrictions in the region, but encourages drivers to remain alert to wind shifts, especially in open rural areas.
With sunshine dominating the week, Pendleton may not see significant weather changes until at least Saturday, when similar highs are forecast.
