Pendleton, OR – Residents in Eastern Oregon should expect changing skies this week, with a chance of showers Thursday before a stretch of sunny weather arrives for the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Pendleton will see a 50 percent chance of rain on Thursday, October 2, with a high near 64 degrees. Light north winds around 6 mph are expected. By Thursday night, showers could continue before skies gradually begin to clear.

Friday will bring partly sunny conditions, with temperatures climbing to 67 degrees. By Saturday, Pendleton residents can look forward to mostly sunny skies and highs near 67, followed by a clear night with lows around 39. Sunday and Monday continue the warming trend, with highs of 65 and 68 degrees under sunny skies.

Overnight lows will dip into the 30s and 40s, signaling cooler fall nights across Umatilla County. Winds are forecast to remain calm to light, generally under 10 mph throughout the period.

The extended forecast suggests continued sunshine through Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs reaching the low 70s.
