Pendleton, OR – Eastern Oregon residents can expect two more days of crisp, sunny weather before a shift toward cooler, wetter conditions by the weekend. With highs climbing into the low 70s through Wednesday, this stretch offers ideal conditions for pumpkin patch visits, outdoor decorating, and early fall yard work before showers move in Thursday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton, Thursday brings a 20% chance of showers in the morning, with skies turning partly sunny and highs near 69°F. By Friday, the chance of rain increases to 40%, signaling a noticeable transition toward cooler fall air. Commuters using I-84 and U.S. 395 should prepare for slick conditions and slower travel times if the showers persist into Friday night.

Wednesday remains the warmest day of the week, with sunshine and highs near 73°F. Evening temperatures will dip to the upper 30s, offering a preview of the upcoming October cold snap.

Looking ahead, scattered showers linger through the weekend, but Sunday may offer some dry breaks. Highs will hover around the mid-60s before cooling into the upper 50s by Columbus Day.

It’s a good time to secure outdoor Halloween decorations and prep gardens for cooler nights ahead.
