Tulsa, OK – Showers across eastern Oklahoma will persist through Saturday morning, leaving wet roadways and reduced visibility for early drivers. Clearing skies are expected by the afternoon, providing some relief as temperatures rise into the low 60s.
According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, rainfall will taper off by mid-morning, with additional accumulations up to a quarter inch possible. The drizzle and fog affecting visibility earlier today should lift as the skies begin to clear. Winds from the south will reach up to 15 mph, with gusts near 20 mph later in the day. Residents are encouraged to avoid slick spots on untreated roadways, especially near major routes like Interstate 44 and Highway 75.
Sunday’s weather will start dry, with increasing clouds and highs near 65 degrees. However, scattered thunderstorms are likely late Sunday evening, transitioning to heavier showers overnight. A 70% chance of precipitation could bring localized flooding risks. Gusty winds of up to 20 mph may accompany these storms.
The week ahead will see cooler temperatures returning. Monday should be mostly sunny with a high near 62, while Tuesday brings partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 50s. Another chance of rain arrives Tuesday night before sunny and dry conditions settle in by midweek.
Stay weather-aware by monitoring local alerts for updates, especially as rain transitions to storms Sunday night.
