Pittsburgh, PA – Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania are under a marginal risk for severe weather this afternoon. According to the US National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop along the lake breeze, posing a primary hazard of damaging wind gusts.

The thunderstorms are most likely to occur between 4 PM and 10 PM EDT, with the northern half of the area at greater risk. Residents are advised to monitor the latest forecasts and ensure they can receive watches and warnings. While not everyone will experience a storm, those who do could face significant wind-related hazards.

In Pittsburgh, temperatures will rise to a high of 85°F today, with a 55% chance of rain. Thursday will bring partly cloudy conditions with a high of 82°F. The weather is expected to remain clear through the weekend, with temperatures gradually increasing. Friday and Saturday will see highs of 82°F and 87°F, respectively, and sunny skies. Sunday will be the hottest day, reaching 90°F.

Early next week, the forecast predicts clear skies on Monday with a high of 89°F. Tuesday may see another round of thunderstorms with a 40% chance of rain and a high of 87°F. By Wednesday, temperatures will return to a high of 85°F under partly cloudy skies.
