Albany, N.Y. – Skies across eastern New York and western New England will turn cloudy Saturday with a few isolated rain showers possible into the evening. Temperatures will climb into the mid-70s during the day before cooling into the 60s overnight.
According to the National Weather Service in Albany, chances of rain remain low, ranging from 10 to 20 percent, but scattered sprinkles cannot be ruled out across the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, and Berkshires through late Saturday. Brattleboro and Glens Falls hold the highest chance of showers at 15 to 20 percent into Sunday morning.
Sunday brings a gradual shift to warmer and drier weather, with highs rising into the upper 70s under partly sunny skies. Kingston, Poughkeepsie, and Albany are expected to top out near 80 degrees by late afternoon. Conditions improve further Monday, with sunshine widespread and highs across much of the region reaching the upper 70s to 80 degrees.
Drivers should remain alert Saturday night into early Sunday as patchy damp roads may develop in areas that see light showers. Outdoor plans are best scheduled for Sunday afternoon or Monday when the sun returns and rain chances fade.
More sunshine and seasonable warmth are expected to hold through midweek, though new weather systems could bring updates from forecasters.
