Albuquerque — Temperatures across eastern New Mexico will continue to fluctuate significantly over the coming week, according to the National Weather Service Albuquerque office.

For today, conditions will be warmer, while Sunday temperatures are expected to feel more like winter. Temperatures are forecast to warm again on Tuesday, followed by additional changes later in the week as cold fronts move through the region.

The National Weather Service notes that another cold front arriving late tonight and early Monday will cause temperatures to drop nearly as much as they rise today. Residents are advised to plan for changing conditions, including the need for short sleeves one day and coats the next.

Forecast confidence decreases later in the week, as the timing of additional cold fronts becomes more uncertain. Temperature outlook graphics for locations such as Clayton and Tucumcari highlight this growing uncertainty, with wider forecast ranges indicating less confidence in exact temperature values.

Residents are encouraged to stay aware of forecast updates as conditions evolve. More information is available at weather.gov/abq.
