St. Louis, MO – Eastern Missouri is set to experience a shift in weather as thunderstorms are expected to roll in Sunday afternoon, bringing an end to the streak of mild weather. The region has enjoyed below-normal temperatures and low humidity, but rain chances will return, impacting plans for the rest of the week.

According to the US National Weather Service in St. Louis, today’s weather will remain dry and mild, with increasing cloud coverage and temperatures ranging between 78 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday will see highs in the low 80s, but showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to develop in the afternoon and early evening.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday are expected to bring slightly warmer temperatures, reaching mid-80s, with sunny to partly cloudy skies. By Wednesday, temperatures will continue to climb, hitting highs in the upper 80s. The pattern of warmer weather will persist through the week, with Thursday and Friday seeing highs around 86 to 88 degrees.
