ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Thunderstorms could bring brief downpours and lightning to parts of eastern and central Missouri through Tuesday as a weak disturbance moves across the region. Monday started mostly sunny, but clouds and humidity are expected to build into the evening, leading to isolated storms that may impact the evening commute.

Areas including Columbia, Jefferson City, St. Charles, and the Metro East could see localized rainfall and occasional thunder. Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
