According to the National Weather Service, more widespread rain chances are expected starting Tuesday night and continuing into Wednesday as a cold front approaches the region. This shift will bring relief from the extreme heat with temperatures dropping below mid-July averages by Thursday and Friday.
Today, temperatures will range between 92°F and 97°F, with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. Tuesday remains similarly hot, with temperatures still peaking in the mid-90s and a 20-40% chance of showers. Wednesday will see increased cloudiness and a 60-80% chance of showers and thunderstorms, bringing a high of 90°F. The cold front’s arrival on Thursday will bring partly sunny skies, a 20-60% chance of lingering showers, and cooler temperatures between 77°F and 82°F. By Friday, the area will experience partly to mostly sunny conditions, with temperatures ranging from 81°F to 86°F.
