Jackson, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky will see a stretch of dry, comfortable weather through the workweek before a warming trend edges in just ahead of Labor Day weekend. Mild afternoons and crisp nights are expected to continue, with only patchy morning fog providing brief interruptions.

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, daytime highs will hover in the low to mid-70s through Wednesday before slowly climbing into the upper 70s by Friday. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s to lower 50s, making for cool mornings across the region. The chance for rain remains near zero through midweek, with only a slight increase to 10–15 percent by Friday.

The dry stretch should help keep roads clear for commuters, though early morning fog could reduce visibility in valleys and along stretches of the Mountain Parkway and U.S. 23. Drivers are urged to use caution during the early hours when fog is thickest.

By Friday, warmer conditions will begin moving into eastern Kentucky, setting the stage for a sunnier, slightly hotter Labor Day weekend. The National Weather Service says the region should remain mostly dry into the holiday, but updated forecasts will refine details as the weekend approaches.
