Jackson, KY – Residents across eastern Kentucky can expect several more days of warm, mostly dry weather before rain chances build early next week.
According to the US National Weather Service in Jackson, sunny skies and above-average temperatures will dominate through Saturday, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Overnight lows are forecast in the mid-50s to low 60s.
Forecasters noted that Friday may begin with some patchy morning fog, but conditions will quickly clear to sunshine. Saturday is expected to stay partly sunny with only a slight risk of isolated showers.
By Sunday, clouds will begin to increase as a weather system approaches, bringing a 15–20% chance of showers or thunderstorms. On Monday, that risk rises further, with a 30–40% chance of thunderstorms as an upper-level low develops across the region.
The National Weather Service advises residents to enjoy the pleasant late-week stretch but prepare for shifting conditions heading into next week. Afternoon storms could impact travel, outdoor activities, and late-day commutes starting Monday.
