According to the US National Weather Service Quad Cities Iowa/Illinois, occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected today, though severe weather is not anticipated. Rainfall amounts could range between a quarter and three-quarters of an inch.

The highest chance of showers and storms today will be west of the Mississippi River this morning, with additional showers and thunderstorms anticipated later in the evening. High temperatures will range from the low to mid-80s, with humidity levels making it feel warmer.

According to the National Weather Service, the pattern of showers and thunderstorms will persist through Tuesday, with the most significant coverage expected from late this afternoon through Monday. The affected areas include all of eastern Iowa, northwest Illinois, and northeast Missouri. A few strong storms are possible, but the threat of severe weather remains low. Rainfall amounts are generally expected to be less than half an inch.

Monday will continue to see a chance of showers and storms, with highs in the lower 80s and lows in the low to mid-60s. By Tuesday, the weather pattern remains similar, with highs again in the lower 80s and a continued chance of precipitation, particularly in Illinois.
