Idaho Falls, ID – Eastern Idaho may face a cold and snowy Thanksgiving travel week, as new long-range forecasts show above-normal precipitation from November 23 through November 29.
Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Rexburg, and surrounding communities all sit in a 40–50% probability zone favoring wetter-than-normal conditions. With a strong cold pool in place across the northern Rockies, conditions support the potential for accumulating snow.
Mountain passes—including Teton Pass, Pine Creek Pass, and routes along US-20—may see travel impacts. Valley locations could also see periods of wet snow depending on storm timing.
More precise snowfall details will arrive next week.
