BRADLEY, IL – The Village of Bradley’s annual Easter food meal giveaway had 550 registrants Saturday making it the highest food giveaway to date.

The event, which took place Saturday at the Northfield Square Mall, aimed to provide holiday meals for Bradley residents in need.

Village officials thanked volunteers and the support of local businesses, including Nana’s Cakery & Bake Shoppe. Mayor Watson, Village Trustees, and Police Chief Barber were also on hand to help with the event’s coordination.

Delivery was reserved for seniors and physically homebound residents, while pickup was available for everyone else who registered. To ensure that as many people as possible received meals, residents were asked to provide proof of residency, and meals were given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Registration for the event opened on February 20th and closed on March 15th. Once a registration was confirmed for either pickup or delivery, it could not be changed. For those who forgot to pick up their meals, the food was forfeited to another resident.
