Pittsburgh, PA – A second round of rain is expected to move through western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio tonight, accompanied by brief gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

After a mostly sunny afternoon, showers will redevelop between 8 p.m. and midnight, first reaching eastern Ohio and then spreading eastward toward Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania. Forecasters say the rain could linger into the early hours of Wednesday morning before tapering off.

The system may bring wind gusts between 25 and 35 mph, particularly as the front moves through overnight. While rainfall totals are expected to remain light, slick roads and reduced visibility could affect late-night travel.

According to the National Weather Service, skies should clear gradually Wednesday morning, leading to a dry and seasonable day. Cooler air will settle in behind the front as high pressure builds later in the week.
