East Los Angeles, CA – A dense fog advisory is in effect for East L.A. Friday morning, with reduced visibility expected on major roadways, including the 710 Freeway and Interstate 5. Drivers are urged to exercise caution during early commutes, especially in fog-prone areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the fog is likely to linger until mid-morning before clearing, making way for sunny skies and a high near 57°F by the afternoon. Friday night will see patchy fog return, with lows around 44°F.

The weekend forecast offers relief from foggy conditions, with Saturday and Sunday bringing mostly sunny skies and highs near 60°F. Nights will remain cool, with temperatures dipping into the low 40s. These pleasant conditions are expected to continue through Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, which is forecast to reach 63°F under clear skies.

Residents planning outdoor activities this weekend can look forward to comfortable weather, but early risers should still prepare for cooler morning temperatures. If traveling during foggy periods, allow extra time and use low-beam headlights for improved visibility.
