LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Fog could slow Monday night and Tuesday morning commutes across East Los Angeles, especially along I-5 and I-10. Drivers should plan extra time, as patchy fog after 11 p.m. Monday may cut visibility and create hazardous conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday brings morning drizzle before skies clear by the afternoon, with highs near 76. By Monday, clouds return early before breaking into another sunny afternoon. Winds remain light, though breezy at times near 10 mph.

Fog poses the greatest challenge late Monday into Tuesday. Motorists should use low beams, reduce speed, and stay alert on major freeways, particularly during the morning rush. The weather service expects gradual clearing by midday Tuesday, followed by mostly sunny skies into Wednesday.

October starts bright, with highs near 78 Wednesday and Thursday. Skies should stay mostly sunny through the week, making for a pleasant start to the month. Evenings will cool into the low 60s, offering comfortable fall nights.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for changing conditions: allow time for commutes, keep headlights on in fog, and enjoy the clear afternoons. Officials say additional advisories could be issued if fog thickens beyond current projections.
