New York, N.Y. – Most of the East Coast is looking at near-perfect weather for the Fourth of July, with clear skies, highs in the 80s and 90s, and prime conditions for parades, cookouts, and fireworks from New England through the Mid-Atlantic.
According to the National Weather Service, New York will see sunny skies and highs around 82°F on Friday. Philadelphia could hit 88°F with dry weather expected most of the day. Maryland will be hotter, near 93°F, while Virginia Beach stays warm and calm near 90°F.
Further north, Rhode Island is in for sunshine and seasonal temps near 86°F with light southwest winds — ideal for coastal fireworks. But the weather turns more unstable south of North Carolina.
In Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, mostly sunny skies will dominate, but afternoon thunderstorms are possible, especially around Columbia, where highs near 96°F could fuel brief downpours. Florida cities like Jacksonville and Tampa will see the most unsettled conditions, with a 60% storm chance and highs around 90°F.
Residents are urged to stay weather-aware, especially in storm-prone areas. More updates are expected by midweek.
