Melbourne, Florida – The region is bracing for scattered showers and isolated lightning storms overnight into Sunday morning, with the heaviest storm activity expected over Brevard and Osceola counties and to the south. As a result, storm conditions could cause wind gusts between 40-50 mph, frequent lightning, small hail, and localized heavy rainfall. Most areas will see between 0.10 and 0.70 inches of rain, though some spots could receive up to 1-3 inches.

According to the National Weather Service, the highest rain chances (40-80%) are expected by Sunday morning, with further scattered storms continuing into late afternoon and evening. These storms will mainly affect southern Brevard and Osceola counties, extending southward. Residents should be prepared for wet and windy conditions, with the possibility of localized flooding due to the heavy rainfall.

For tonight, temperatures will drop into the mid-60s to mid-70s, with skies clearing in the north but remaining mostly cloudy to the south. By Sunday, temperatures will reach highs between 82°F and 92°F. These wet and windy conditions will persist through Sunday night, gradually diminishing into Monday.

Residents should stay alert to changing conditions and take necessary precautions, including securing loose objects outdoors and avoiding travel during the storm’s peak.
