The driver, identified as Jaquon L. Dancy, 30, of Poughkeepsie, was the sole occupant. Police said K-9 Vinn conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for narcotics. A subsequent search revealed approximately 2,359 grams of cocaine, 235 grams of fentanyl, and $1,435 in cash.
Dancy was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree (Class A-I felony) and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree – Intent to Sell (Class B felony).
He was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center, police said.
