Naperville, IL – An armed robbery occurred early Friday morning at a business on Route 59 in Naperville, leaving police in search of a suspect. The incident took place at approximately 5:03 a.m. on the 4900 block of S. Route 59. The Naperville Police Department responded swiftly to reports of an armed robbery that had transpired around 10 minutes earlier.
According to the Naperville Police Department, the suspect, armed with a handgun, stole an unspecified amount of U.S. currency from the business and a necklace from an employee. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspect is described as a male wearing black pants, a black hooded shirt, black gloves, and a mask. Additional identifying information remains unknown. Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect left the area on foot but may have been dropped off at the location in a white sedan.
