Lombard, IL – The Village of Lombard and the Lombard Police Department announced they are aware of a planned public demonstration, identified by organizers as the “No Kings” rally, scheduled for today, October 18, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

According to the Village’s statement, the event has been advertised as a peaceful protest and is considered a protected exercise of free speech and assembly under the Constitution. The gathering is described as an anti-Trump rally, with participants expected to convene near downtown Lombard.

Police said they will have officers present throughout the event to ensure the safety of attendees, residents, and businesses in the area. Authorities emphasized that they respect the right to peaceful assembly, but cautioned that any violent or criminal behavior will not be tolerated.

“The Lombard Police Department will be present to help ensure the safety of all participants,” the agency said in a community notice shared Saturday morning. “We respect the right of individuals to assemble peacefully.”

Officials did not report any road closures or detours connected to the event but advised residents to expect increased police presence and potential traffic slowdowns near the protest site.
