Naperville, IL – An Arizona man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly stealing high-end iPhones from the Naperville Apple Store and attempting to flee from police, according to DuPage County prosecutors.
According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, 24-year-old Moseley, of Chandler, Arizona, was charged Wednesday with burglary (Class 2 felony), retail theft (Class 3 felony), and misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred Wednesday, January 1, at the Apple Store located at 120 W. Jefferson Avenue in Naperville.
Prosecutors allege Moseley entered the store and selected three iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB devices, then exited without paying. A Naperville police officer later attempted to conduct a traffic stop after spotting Moseley driving a white Chevrolet Equinox. According to authorities, Moseley allegedly refused to stop despite emergency lights being activated.
Police say the pursuit ended around 9 p.m. when officers from the Minooka Police Department located Moseley and took him into custody.
DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said retail theft and burglary continue to impact local businesses and communities through increased costs and reduced economic investment. Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres emphasized that suspects who commit crimes in the city will be held accountable.
Officials also highlighted cooperation between local law enforcement agencies, crediting Minooka police for assisting in the arrest.
Moseley was released from custody earlier Wednesday following his court appearance. His next court date is scheduled for February 11, 2026, before Judge Margaret O’Connell.
Authorities reminded the public that the charges are allegations and not evidence of guilt. Moseley is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
