DuPage County veterans and their families will have an opportunity to connect with dozens of service providers at the annual Veterans Resource Fair scheduled for Tuesday in Wheaton.
According to the Veterans Assistance Commission of DuPage County, the free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jack T. Knuepfer Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road. The fair is open to veterans, active-duty service members, family members, first responders, and social workers from DuPage and surrounding counties.
The fair will feature representatives from federal, state and local organizations who will explain programs and benefits available to veterans. Attendees will be able to receive information on healthcare, legal aid, jobs, and military benefits. In addition to resources, visitors can enjoy refreshments, door prizes and giveaways.
Key partners include Hines VA Hospital, the Illinois Tollway, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, the Illinois State Treasurer, the Illinois Comptroller, and the DuPage County Health Department. More than 50 organizations are expected to participate. The Recorder’s Office will also offer free recording of military discharge documents and free registration for the county’s Honor Rewards Program, which provides discounts and perks at participating businesses.
Organizers say the event is designed to connect veterans directly with resources that improve their quality of life while strengthening community support networks.
