DuPage County, Ill. — The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County shared yesterday that the Cenacle Trail at Blackwell Forest Preserve would be closed starting Monday, July 21. The Forest Preserve District said this closure would likely last through late fall.
Beginning Monday, the Forest Preserve District will begin work along Spring Brook, and the trail will be closed for visitor’s safety during that time. The District will work to replace the bridge over the creek. They will also stabilize stream banks to prevent future erosion along the banks.
The District said that frequent Cenacle Trail users can take the West DuPage River Trail or the existing trail link along Batavia and Butterfield roads instead.
