DULUTH, MN – Northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin are in for several rounds of light to moderate snow next week as a series of clipper systems moves through the region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Duluth.

Forecasters say light snow is expected Saturday across northwest Wisconsin, with flurries elsewhere and little accumulation. The pattern will become more active starting Monday evening, when the first of two clipper systems brings light snow overnight into early Tuesday.

A stronger system is expected to follow Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing the potential for accumulating snow and possible travel impacts across northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Snow chances are currently estimated at 60–90%, with details on totals to be refined as the systems approach.

In addition to the snow, below-normal temperatures are forecast to persist through much of the upcoming week. Daytime highs will generally range from the teens to low 20s, with overnight lows dipping below zero at times.

Residents are encouraged to monitor forecast updates and prepare for changing road conditions early in the week.
