Duluth, MN – The National Weather Service in Duluth reports that a low pressure system will bring a mix of rain, sleet, and snow to northern Minnesota beginning late Monday and continuing through Wednesday.
Precipitation will start as rain Monday night, changing to a wintry mix Tuesday, and eventually turning to all snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. The heaviest snowfall is expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, with the potential for hazardous travel conditions, especially across the Iron Range and higher terrain.
Lake-effect snow may persist along the South Shore into Thursday, with snow Wednesday–Thursday becoming lighter and fluffier as temperatures fall.
Travelers should monitor weather updates closely as Thanksgiving travel begins early this week.
