Duluth, Minn. – Residents in northeast Minnesota will see noticeably lower humidity today, while northwest Wisconsin holds onto sticky air through the evening. Thunderstorm chances will fade from west to east as the day progresses, giving way to drier and more comfortable conditions for much of the region. High temperatures will reach the 80s across both states.
According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, morning storms are most likely across areas from International Falls to Ashland before activity tapers off by late afternoon. Northwest Wisconsin communities such as Hayward, Ashland, and Siren will remain more humid until tonight, with dew points lingering in the upper 60s.
Travelers along U.S. Highway 53 and U.S. Highway 2 should remain alert for brief downpours early in the day, especially south of Duluth and into northern Wisconsin. Outdoor plans in Minnesota will benefit from the drier air moving in, while Wisconsin residents should prepare for continued warm and muggy conditions until overnight.
Storm chances will be minimal by late evening, with clearing skies expected into Sunday morning.
