Duluth, Minnesota – A gradual warming trend will push highs near 40 degrees along the I-35 corridor by Saturday, with dry conditions continuing across the Northland.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, a quiet stretch of weather is expected through at least Saturday. No significant precipitation is forecast, and skies will range from mostly sunny to partly cloudy over the next four days.

High temperatures Wednesday will range from the mid-20s to around 30 degrees. By Thursday, readings climb into the mid-30s, followed by upper 30s Friday. Saturday highs are expected to approach 40 degrees in parts of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, including Duluth and Superior.

Overnight lows will generally fall into the teens and 20s, which may allow for refreezing on untreated surfaces during early morning hours.

Wind gusts are forecast to remain relatively light, generally between 10 and 15 mph, limiting blowing snow concerns.

Drivers along Interstate 35 from Duluth to Cloquet, U.S. Highway 2 near Superior, U.S. Route 169 through Hibbing, and Minnesota Highway 371 near Brainerd should encounter mainly dry pavement conditions through the period.

The warming trend marks a notable shift from earlier colder conditions, though temperatures will remain seasonably cool overnight.

Commuters, outdoor workers, and winter recreation enthusiasts may notice improved afternoon conditions heading into the weekend.
