Carpentersville, IL – A fire in a Carpentersville home caused an estimated $15,000 in damage on Friday. Firefighters responded to a call at 40 Ash Street after reports of a fire in the attic. The initial unit arrived within five minutes, quickly finding that a dryer fire had spread to the attic.

Firefighters conducted a thorough search to confirm that no occupants were inside. The fire was under control within 10 minutes. Additional units provided support with ventilation, safety measures, and incident command.

A total of 26 firefighters, including five engines, one truck, two ambulances, and three chiefs, responded to the scene. Despite the damage, residents could still occupy the home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
