Northern Indiana is heading into a stretch of damp and occasionally dreary weather as drizzle and fog settle over the region tonight. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30s to mid-40s, and areas of reduced visibility may impact early travel. Conditions will stay cool and moist as Friday brings increasing chances for rain, primarily along and south of U.S. 24 during the morning and early afternoon.

By Friday evening and night, rain is expected to become more widespread across the region, with the heaviest coverage likely near and south of U.S. Route 30. Temperatures will hover in the low 50s during the day Friday before dropping into the upper 20s and 30s overnight. Roads may become slick in spots as colder air filters in behind the system.

The weekend, however, brings a welcome change. Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy and cooler with highs in the mid-40s. By Sunday, temperatures will moderate into the low to mid-50s under partly cloudy skies, offering a pleasant finish to the weekend. Overall, while the end of the week looks damp, the upcoming weekend should bring mainly dry and more comfortable conditions.
