Bridgeport, WA – A months-long narcotics investigation led by the King County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in a major drug bust spanning multiple Washington counties, authorities confirmed Thursday.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the coordinated operation—dubbed “Operation Eastbound and Down”—targeted a regional supplier based in Bridgeport who allegedly received more than 100 pounds of narcotics every few weeks for distribution across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
Detectives executed search warrants on November 10 at several locations in Bridgeport, Lynnwood, and Kirkland, resulting in the seizure of more than 94 pounds of illegal drugs, one firearm, a vehicle used for drug distribution, and $83,652 in cash.
Items confiscated included:
- 70.55 pounds of methamphetamine
- 16 pounds of fentanyl powder
- 6.83 pounds of heroin
- 1.67 pounds of cocaine
- 1 handgun and 1 distribution vehicle
Four suspects were arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation. The total estimated street value of the seized narcotics is approximately $1.3 million, officials said.
Douglas County Undersheriff Tyler I. Caille credited the King County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Emphasis Team for its leadership and coordination in dismantling the drug network.
“This operation underscores the value of interagency cooperation in keeping dangerous drugs off our streets,” Caille said.
