Dodge City, KS – The National Weather Service in Dodge City reports that flurries and isolated light snow will taper off through 5 a.m. Thursday across areas south of U.S. 56, including Liberal, Medicine Lodge, and Dodge City.
According to the update, little if any additional snowfall is expected early this morning. However, even with minimal accumulation, isolated slick spots could still develop on roads, bridges, and sidewalks, particularly before sunrise.
Forecasters urge travelers to stay alert and check road conditions before heading out by visiting KanDrive.gov. Temperatures remain cold enough overnight for patchy refreezing, which could make early travel tricky in some areas.
Conditions will improve later Thursday morning as light snow exits the region and temperatures slowly rise above freezing.
