According to the National Weather Service, rain will begin Saturday night and intensify Sunday morning. Areas along the I-95 corridor, including Baltimore and Washington, D.C., are likely to experience periods of heavy rain and isolated storms. Winds could gust up to 26 mph, particularly during peak storm hours Sunday afternoon. Wet roads are expected to cause delays on major routes, including I-695 and I-70.

By Tuesday, the DMV region will see another round of rain in the evening, but dry, sunny weather is expected for New Year’s Day. Highs on Wednesday will hover near 51°F, offering ideal conditions for holiday activities.
