District of Columbia – A gray veil hangs over the monuments this morning as fog softens the Capitol dome and damp air clings to commuters. Temperatures sit at 35 degrees, and visibility hovers near four miles at Reagan National Airport. Calm winds keep the chill steady, but roads remain mostly dry for now.

According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington office, clouds will thin through the day with highs reaching near 54. Skies clear tonight with lows around 36. Saturday brings a burst of Spring Vibes, with sunshine and highs climbing to 62. It will feel mild enough for light jackets by afternoon.

Sunday stays mostly sunny, though cooler, with highs near 51 and a brisk north wind. The pattern shifts sharply by Monday. Highs fall to 34 with a 40 percent chance of snow. Light accumulation is possible, especially on grassy surfaces, but bursts of heavier snow could briefly reduce visibility on I-95, I-66 and the Beltway.

By Monday night, temperatures drop to around 26. A mix of snow and freezing rain may develop after midnight. Even minor icing could create slick bridges and overpasses into early Tuesday. This is prime flash-freeze territory if wet pavement refreezes.

Tuesday brings a chance of rain or freezing rain with highs near 40. Midweek moderates again, with highs rebounding into the 50s and even low 60s by Thursday. Longer-range outlooks favor above-normal temperatures into early March.

Five Day Outlook for Washington, D.C.:
Saturday: Sunny, high 62.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, high 51.
Monday: Chance of snow, high 34.
Tuesday: Chance rain/freezing rain, high 40.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, high 54.
